New Flying field - Krbavsko polje !!!

Dear Participants, When we applied in 2007 for the organization of World Championships on Bjelopolje, our application was based on the situation from the summer of 2006. Back then, there were small pine trees, up to 0.5 m high. In the past three years the pine trees have grown bigger than anyone of us would expect. Today, there are spots on Bjelopolje with pine trees which are 2.5 to 3 m high.

Because of that, for the last few months we've been considering a change to the reserve flying field. Now, the decision is made and we will definitely change the flying field for FF World Championships. Instead of Bjelopolje we will use Krbavsko polje. Krbavsko polje is approximately 10 km (5 to 6 minutes by car) away from Bjelopolje in the direction of South.

Krbavsko polje is bigger, without trees and with a smoother surface. Also, we noted that Krbavsko polje has less turbulence and the wind is much lighter in comparison to Bjelopolje.

We therefore strongly believe that in this situation Krbavsko polje is a better choice than Bjelopolje.

Everything else (accommodation, opening and closing ceremony, banquet) stay as before.
